Our client's experiences at Victoria & Albert’s have been nothing short of spectacular. The fact that the restaurant boasts an extensive menu dedicated solely to Still Water options is a testament to its commitment to luxury and detail – a true hallmark of a dining venue worth exploring.


Victoria & Albert’s offers a diverse dining experience, segmented into three distinct dining areas, each providing its own unique ambiance. The Main Dining Room, where the majority of guests dine, exudes elegance and sophistication. Enhancing the atmosphere, a live harpist often graces the room with music on most evenings. While previously guests in the Main Dining Room had the option to select from a seven or ten-course menu, the restaurant has recently transitioned to offering the Chef's Degustation Menu, further elevating the culinary experience.




For those who appreciate the finer details in upscale venues, even a visit to the restroom at Victoria & Albert's is an experience in itself. In a delightful touch of elegance, guests are escorted by the waitstaff to the facilities, much like royalty being guided through their palace. Though the restroom is conveniently located within the restaurant, just down a hallway, the act of being accompanied by the staff adds an unexpectedly regal and memorable aspect to your visit.

About a week before your reservation, the process of personalizing your menu begins. The team at Victoria & Albert’s reaches out to discuss any dietary requirements, preferences, and aversions you might have. Based on this conversation, a bespoke menu is meticulously crafted to cater specifically to your tastes.


Lobster Perfection The meal began with a dish that set the tone for the evening—the lobster. Unlike any other lobster I've tasted, it carried a subtlety that almost reminded me of sushi, with no overpowering seafood flavor. The lightness of the crust was a perfect match, and the accompanying aioli softened the dish without masking its delicate taste. The ham served alongside was the best I've ever had, with a potato crust that was equally light yet flavorful, carrying through to a satisfying finish. A touch of charred pineapple added a Brazilian flair, balanced by mango's sweetness, and the decorative flowers added visual appeal without altering the flavor.



The Intricacies of Wine Pairings

The brut, served with this course, was very good—dry but without any sweetness, providing a refreshing contrast. The caviar, while not fishy, was quite salty and paired with a panna cotta that was soft and plain, allowing the saltiness to be subdued but still present. This pairing, although not my favorite, was still enjoyable, with the potato decoration reminiscent of rice sticks, adding a playful texture.


Salmon and Asparagus Delicacies

The next course featured salmon, prepared with such finesse that it was almost smoked, cooked very lightly to retain its moisture. The light butter broth complemented the salmon perfectly, and the subtle dill balanced any hint of fishiness, making it a beautiful dish. Alongside this was white asparagus, its pigment removed after a day in the dirt, served with a foam that added a fun, cool element to the dish without altering the flavor. The accompanying wine was delightful, fruit-forward with minimal butter, adding a lightness that broke up the seafood elements.



A Symphony of Flavors: From Deep Water Fish to Pork

One of the standout dishes was a deep-water fish sourced from Antarctic Glacier 51. The high-fat content of the fish made it incredibly succulent, with squash accompaniments and sauces that were expertly paired. The pumpkin and peppery sauce were the highlights, enhancing the flavor of the lightly pan-seared fish.


Another memorable dish was the pork, cooked for 14 hours and sliced to perfection. The tenderness was unparalleled, with dense and flavorful BBQ and pork reduction sauces. The cornmeal base added texture without competing with the rich flavors, making this dish a true delight.


Venison and Wagyu: A Masterclass in Meat Preparation

The venison was another highlight, cooked to a tenderness that was almost unbelievable. The gamey flavor hit late and was mild, perfectly balanced by a reduction sauce that paired wonderfully with an earthy, spicy wine from Lebanon. The A5 Wagyu beef, cooked with Japanese influence over coals and paired with a potato and rice base, was rich and flavorful, although it played second fiddle to the previous dishes in terms of impact.



A Sweet Finale

The meal concluded with a series of desserts that were nothing short of extraordinary. The banana foster's version, though small in portion, was ice cream-heavy with a strong fruit flavor—though I wished for a bit more caramel. The strawberry and chocolate dessert was the star of the sweets, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented without artificial coloring. I couldn't help but lick the plate clean. The goat cheese marshmallow was another intriguing dessert, with mild goat cheese providing a salty contrast to the sweetness, although the lemon was a bit too dry for my taste. The final bon bon, dark and not too sweet, was a perfect end to the meal.



Dining Experience and Recommendations

From start to finish, the dinnerware, service, and atmosphere at Victoria & Albert's were exceptional. The Merpa dinnerware was beautiful, enhancing the presentation of each dish. While the rose wine was still a bit too sweet for my liking, it was dry and good overall. The bread was simply amazing—finger-type bread with salted butter that was incredible, and the green butter from earlier paired insanely well with it.


The evening ended on a high note with a fun coffee presentation, dark and thick, which paired well with the final desserts. The entire experience was incredible, a true testament to the culinary artistry at Victoria & Albert's.
